So far, I've looked at mentor survey responses, and a few sessions. I also have mentor coaches looking at sessions. I'm not that excited about thinking about what mentors know about teaching, mostly because that doesn't seem real pertinent to what I'm trying to do, which is improving their constructivist practices.
One interesting data point is the mentors who are really looking for support. At least three have emailed either me or their coach and asked about having their session watched. My original idea was to think about mentor development by looking at what types of feedback they are able to incorporate. The way I think i could do taht would be to look for a couple key words from coach feedback (or key ideas, like wait time) and see if I notice them doing that.
The question would then be, how do mentors integrate feedback into their sessions?

Currently, I have nine sessions that have been watched by me or someone else. i could pick 5 mentors to track over time and see how they use the feedback. I'd like to pick some really eager beaver mentors and then some who have so far been a little less open to feedback.

I have one small, seemingly silly problem, in that I really like to look at things on paper. It feels easier to me. But I can't print these spreadsheets becuase they're huge and only getting bigger. I'm not sure what to do about that.

Short post, but I hope to post more soon.
